Lawrence “Bud” Stoecker was a masterful storyteller. He mesmerized family and friends with colorful stories from his experiences as an engineer and entrepreneur, building rockets for the NASA Apollo missions, constructing A-frame cabins across the Rocky Mountains, and bringing to life his very own modern Christmas tree.

Bud designed the tree to reflect his modern style and to serve as a timeless centerpiece to the holidays he loved to share with family and friends.

In 2011 grandson Matt Bliss decided to share Bud’s design with the world, creating The Modern Christmas Tree.

Each tree is engraved with Bud’s signature to signify authenticity and artist satisfaction.
